Cornell Sathguru Seed Industry Program
Cornell Sathguru Executive Education organised 13th Seed Industry Program from 22-25th January 2018. The program aimed to bridge between knowledge and application for a better future of the seed industry.
The key highlights of the program were:
- Enhancing the ability to understand emerging issues and develop strategic solutions to augment business through deeper understanding of research management, technology access through licensing, regulatory compliance, market access factors and business restructuring.
- The course highlighted upon the rapid progress that is taking place in this sector due to technological advancement and policy reforms; the developments in R&D; new procedures and possibilities of this ever-changing seed retail sector.
Various issues of sustainability, access to technology, product delivery rights were among the other areas of focus. The course structure involved the participants in practical discussions, lectures, group exercises, case studies and strategic skills that can be successfully executed in the field.
