International Day of Rural Women Celebrations, 15th October 2021
This International Day, under the theme ” Rural women cultivating good for all”. SeedWorks recognized the work of these heroines in the food systems of the world and wish to claim rural areas with equal opportunities for all. At SeedWorks we support gender mainstreaming and strongly believe Women’s economic empowerment is a necessary step to promote women’s rights and achieve gender equality. 20% of our growers are women who partnered with us in our seed production.
We honour them and acknowledge the importance of their contribution in our sustainable seed production practices and SeedWorks is committed to empowering them.
