Dr. Balaji is a director on the board of SeedWorks and plays a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction for the Company as well as in creating the R&D vision for the Company. He is a PhD in plant breeding (1989) from Texas A&M university and worked for ICI Seeds and Peto Seeds in the US before joining Sun Seeds, for which he started its India operations in 1996. He founded SeedWorks in 1998
