SeedWorks organized train the trainer program to control PBW across all production centres. The program was led by Dr. Srikanth, our entomologist. Program aimed at creating awareness cum training on Pink Bollworm in the Seed production fields. Production staff, organizers, ginners participated in the program.
Points of discussion were Pink boll worm life cycle, Diagnosis of damage symptoms, Integrated Management Practices, Integrated Resistance Management and distributed handouts on chemical control measures and installation of pheromone traps etc.
The program was conducted in alignment with the advocacy of the government bodies and MMB to demonstrate SeedWorks commitment to IRM and to ensure sustainability of the technology.
