India celebrates Children’s Day on November 14th to mark the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Nehru advocated for children to have all-rounded education that would build a better society in the future and considered children as the real strength of a nation and foundation of community. On this day, many educational and motivational programs for children occurs across India.
SeedWorks celebrated children’s day with the theme ” A better future, for every child: Do not employ but empower them by sending them to schools”. There was great zeal and enthusiasm among the teammates.
The essence of the celebration was creating awareness of child education at Nanded, Maharashtra. It is a critical element in preventing child labour; however, child labour is one of the main obstacles to Education for All (EFA). Understanding the interplay between education and child labour is critical to achieving EFA and child labour elimination goals. SeedWorks is committed to eliminating child labour through awareness sessions wherever we operate. As a corporate citizen, we abide by our social responsibility and are committed towards creating awareness around child education.
